WHO IS ALLKDRAMA?

My name is Silvia and I am the owner of this blog, the Instagram account allkdrama, and the YouTube channel Alwaysbeminoz.

I was born and raised in the United States (Texas). I am currently a marketing college student who will soon enter the work force. From a young age, I was always interested in art but assumed I was not talented because I could not paint or draw. As a result, when it came to selecting what major to study, I did not consider art. I now know that art does not exist only through painting and drawing. I like to consider my video edits and wallpapers a type of art. And I love to share my art with you all.

WHEN DID YOU BEGIN WATCHING K-DRAMAS/LISTENING TO K-POP?

In late 2012, I was introduced to the world of K-Dramas and immediately fell in love with the writing, music, and cinematographies displayed through these shows. In early 2013, I created an Instagram account called 'alwaysbeminoz'. On that account I began posting small edits of my favorite K-Drama scenes. About two years later, in 2014, I began listening to K-Pop. It was not long before K-Pop edits could also be found on my account. As the years passed, my account began to grow into something I had never imaged and I was (and still am) very thankful for all the love and support I received.

WHEN DID YOU START EDITING ON YOUTUBE?

Around late 2014/early2015, I discovered another K-Drama culture; This time it was on YouTube. I soon found myself being able to edit my favorite K-Drama scenes in video formats rather than simple pictures. I also lived for the idea of merging two separate cultures — South Korean and American — through music and dramas.

WHY DID YOU STOP POSTING ON ALWAYSBEMINOZ (INSTAGRAM)?

I was at my peak (in terms of posting) during 2014 and mid—2015. Unfortunately, late 2015 and 2016 marked my 'college-decision' years — I HAD to pick where to continue my studies. As a result, I began to post less and less on my Instagram and eventually went on a one year hiatus. I began posting once again in 2018, but things just were not the same. The liveliness I used to feel when creating those simple edits was no where to be found. I wanted to make and share better edits and I did not know how to do so. Although my account is still on Instagram, I have not posted anything in over half a year.

WHY DID YOU STOP POSTING ON ALWAYSBEMINOZ (YOUTUBE)?

I cannot explain how much I love video editing. I love dedicating time to search for clips, songs, and pictures for my videos. I really do love editing BUT the truth is, that besides being a girl who loves to edit, I am also a college student. In my mind all I could think of was "It is the start of 2018 and I only have a year and a half to look for a job". As a result, I decided to temporarily halt my video edits in order to focus on my studies and to find a job. I ended up taking a one year break and that is one of the biggest regrets of my life.

HOW DID ALLKDRAMA START?

First and foremost, let me just say that I DID NOT START ALLKDRAMA (: BUT, I know that allkdrama was created in March 14, 2014. Fun fact: I used to talk to the creator of the account. The creator was a very nice lady who also loved K-Dramas and would post edits just like me. After a year or two, she gave the account to her daughter who then gave it to her brother. At this point, allkdrama had gone from an editing account to a news outlet-like account. Eventually, the account changed owners too many times that, I lost contact with the original owner. Through out the years, and thanks to the hands of many admins, the Instagram account allkdrama was able to grow into what it is today.

WHEN DID YOU START MANAGING ALLKDRAMA?

I began administering the account as a second admin on July 31st, 2018. I was then gifted the account on September 16, 2018.

HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT OWNING ALLKDRAMA?

Being the owner of allkdrama is like a miracle to me. Everyday I am grateful for everyone who supports the account and for my precedents.

WHY DID YOU START THIS WALLPAPER BLOG?

I have always edited wallpapers for myself and whenever people saw them, they would ask where I got the picture from. These kind of comments, made me realize that maybe I should share my wallpapers with others. I originally intended on uploading them to a different website, but they recently implemented a picture limit for 'free' accounts. I surpassed that limit and I definitely did not (and still don't) have the money to pay for a 'premium' account. Therefore, I decided to create this blog.

WHAT APPS DO YOU USE TO EDIT?

This is a question I get asked on a daily basis. I use the following apps/software:

• Instagram pictures/story games: Keynote (iOS)
• YouTube: iMovie, Davinci Resolve (free version), After Effects (monthly payments/still learning)
• Wallpapers: Photoshop (monthly payments/still learning)

NOTE: If you are wondering why I do not have money to pay for premium account but I have access to After Effects/Photoshop ... that is because I need those software for one of my classes. As a result, I am temporarily paying for it. It is relatively expensive and it is hard to save up money every month BUT I love creating these kind of edits so I bare with the cost (:
